What You'll Do

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures use case and validation expertise drives the execution

  • Deliver better business outcomes through improving the experience that customers have with Customer Care products and services. Specifically, will provide measurable improvements in adoption, growth, revenue, retention, and margins

  • Lead the experience strategy for the business unit by partnering with product owners, architects and development managers to deliver product strategies/solutions

  • Execute within our Agile/Continuous cloud delivery model. Manage and prioritize design backlog for multiple services that build a solution

  • Build a team of superheroes that have complementary but different skills that can step forward and lead when the time is right. Create confidence, camaraderie, and career growth for the UX team.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to members of the design team

  • Be a good partner

  • Have a vision and ensure purpose

  • Evangelize good design practices, principles, and patterns

  • Contribute to a Cisco wide design practice

  • Be intentional, purposeful, bold, and humble

 The ideal candidate experience

  • Great leadership skills (people, strategy and execution).

  • Ability to effectively communicate concepts with passion and integrity. Excellent communication skills.

  • Minimum of 10 relevant years of experience with at least 5 years managing people.

  • Experienced in design in a multisite global product development and delivery.

  • Solid design history backed by delivery and execution.

  • Managed and mentored a team of 12 or more.

  • Results outshine a pedigree. Degree in design or psychology related field preferred. Bonus points if you graduated from a design school (e.g. CMU, SCAD, RISD).
