Technical Writer

Job Description

As an information developer tech writer, you will be an integral part of a software product development and release team.  In addition to excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills, this position requires an ability to work with remote teams in different time zones and with SMEs who do not speak English as their first language

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implementing product documentation strategy for Intel software products.
  • Develop documentation online help, user guides, technical reference manuals, getting started guides, etc. to help software developers quickly start using Intel products, such as the Intel R Math Kernel Library and the Intel R Performance Primitives Library.
  • Develop Functional Safety FUSA Documentation according to FUSA certification requirements for these library products.
  • You will be defining the documentation strategy and deliverables for the products you support.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts SMEs to identify gaps in existing content, and develop a documentation plan from scratch from engineering specifications, and by understanding product workflows and interfacing with SMEs


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or a Master's in English, Technical Writing, Technical Communications or a related field with at least 2 years of experience as a technical writer responsible for creating technical documentation
  • Candidate must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technical writing for software products.
  • Working knowledge of standard authoring tools and/or technology, such as Acrobat*, RoboHelp*, XMetaL , and HTML/CSS.
  • Exposure with web publishing and/or DITA XML-based publishing.
  • Working knowledge of C/C++, Fortran, or some other programming language
