Technical Training Manager

What you’ll do:

You’ll build design documentation that communicates learning objectives, content structure, assessment measures, and learning impact. You’ll develop technical certification programs, courses, lessons, evaluation tests, and feedback surveys. You’ll also assist in training program execution, logistics, and reporting analytic. If you are fluent in Spanish that would be a big plus!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Engage with product management and engineering to develop and execute training plans for new products
  • Design extraordinary technical training solutions that ensure our internal team as well as partners have the expert knowledge they need to sell our solution and perform key operational tasks to lead their IoT business.
  • Collaborate and consult with Subject Matter Experts to identify key knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with learning objectives.
  • Deliver technical training to a diverse global audience profiles
  • Craft and maintain multiple courses at a time
  • Meet deadlines, prioritize, and deliver quality results in a time-sensitive environment
  • Track record of cross functional teamwork
  • Build effective learning materials using authoring tools (i.e., MS PowerPoint, and others)
  • Our team is growing and at times you’ll be asked to assist or take on other duties.

Who you’ll work with:

You will work with the Global Head of IoT Cloud Learn in designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining technical training content in blended training delivery methodologies. This position requires effective collaboration with Subject Matter Experts, Engineering, Product Management, Documentation, Technical Support, and customer facing field personnel to ensure accuracy of course content to meet diverse training needs.

This role will require some global travel it can range from 20%-50% (50% would be during a new product launch).

Requirements you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • 1-3 years of experience designing and developing technical course materials using validated instructional design methodologies
  • Ability to test drive the newly developed training solutions as a trainer for internal review
  • Experience developing content suited for multiple delivery channels (instructor-led classes, online virtual classes, and self-paced eLearning training material)
  • Experience in eLearning Instructional Design (ID) for a technology company
  • Experience in developing technical training content for SAAS based software applications
  • Strong training skills (i.e. is able to figure out appropriate training methodology based on identified needs, effectively delivers classroom and nontraditional training programs as appropriate, etc.)
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter that can own work efforts with minimal day to day management
