 Technical Lead  Software Diagnostics - Hardware Diagnostics Routing and Switching 

What You'll Do: 

In this highly visible role as a Diagnostics Engineer, you will:

● Design and develop component and system level diagnostics software/firmware for system, board, FPGA and ASIC design verification and validation in engineering and manufacturing.

● Author diagnostic functional specification to provide guidelines for implementation to achieve the highest level of test coverage with fault isolation at the component level.

● Provide inputs to the hardware team for Design-For-Testability (DFT). Work closely with HW design, SW development and manufacturing teams, and promote team collaboration

● Initiate informal reviews of ideas and technical objectives within and across functional teams

● Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate diagnostics software.

As a Diagnostics Engineer you will be exposed to state-of-the-Art technologies used in Cisco Switching and Routing products. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy challenging tasks. Who You Are

You are a professional Software Developer with 11 -13 yrs of experience  in a Hardware and Software environment with 4+ year’s experience in leading a Diagnostics team in Routing and Switching. You skill should include the following:

● Excellent "C" programming skills

● Solid background in hardware

● Seeking candidates with good low-level hardware programming, driver-level or embedded software skills/experience.

● Familiarity with Linux low level software development and RTOS development environment

● Strong problem solving and debugging skills

● Ability to translate engineering and manufacturing customer requirements into design objectives

● Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment

● Good English written/oral communication skills 

Desired Skills

● OS and Kernel development experience

● Relevant industry experience with routers/switches

● Experience with test equipment (eg: traffic generator, oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
