Primary responsibilities include -  
  • Technical capability evaluation of III-V fabs including deep dive assessments of emerging technologies and their viability
  • Design and process reviews/audits to ensure design robustness, process qualification and production readiness
  • Assess Reliability risk, develop and execute to product Qualification plans and resolve technical issues
  • Assess business impacting/critical issues and drive component failure analysis, containment and corrective action
  • Drive technology development and roadmaps and support Design Engineering on critical III-V component selection and application issues.

Who You'll Work With
This supplier facing, technical leadership role requires close engagement with internal design teams to assess, select and qualify III-V components such as lasers, photodetectors, modulators, integrated photonics and higher level optical packaging solutions.

Who You Are
  • Experienced in III-V component design/ fabrication/characterization, wafer qualification/acceptance, burn in conditions and reliability modeling
  • Deep understanding of device physics and application considerations
  • Opto-electronic packaging design and process development
  • Possesses a good understanding of Optical Transceiver supplier ecosystem, emerging suppliers and industry roadmap
  • Demonstrated ability working in cross-functional teams and with external suppliers/partners
  • Good communication, project management and influencing skills   
Qualifications: MS (minimum) or PhD (preferred) in an Engineering/technical discipline (Optical Engineering is highly preferred) with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in Optics.
