Role & Responsibilities

In this role as an Engineer , you will

● Partner with local IC and field facing customer engineers in co-defining the technology architecture for solving customer's business problems. Translate customer's technology architecture matters to engineering development items by working with various engineering groups within relevant Business Entities

● Manage/assist the delivery of co-development utilizing iterative agile principles. Manage /assist entire lifecycle of dev-ops with selected customers for the technology architecture delivery in a pure co-dev process

● Lead relationships with assigned customers along with stakeholders to become their technical adviser within the engineering organization, thereby helping our strategic customers to advance their long-term network and operational evolutions

● Develop key performance metrics involving all stakeholders including customers in this engagement process to measure success of engagement, track to them and then improve on them QOQ/YOY

● Have a strategic engagement across various groups and make sure that various customer requirements are accommodated in their product development life cycles when funneling requirements to various groups within Cisco (namely, Field Sales and Sales Leadership, product development, network operations, services & support, and technology & innovation life-cycle of assigned customers)

● Be the champion for optimum solutions that are 1) strategic to customers’ success; 2) Sticky to Cisco’s technology; 3) cross-leveraged across the centers where appropriate

● Identify key trends that may impact Cisco and customer solutions, developing technology strategy and be the evangelist for Cisco and ecosystem to adopt technology transitions (e.g., IoT, Fog Computing etc.)


Minimum Qualifications
● BS in a technical field (CS/EE preferred) or equivalent

● Exceptional organizational skills, along with superior planning, communication, listening skills, agile, and cultural awareness

● Knowledge of data center technologies, IP core, routing & switching (including WLAN), security, and manageability. Understanding of product management and product development life cycle.

● 3+ years related experience

● Experience with product testing (system, features)

● Other desirable skills include Database, programing and scripting skills (Python, Ruby, Java, etc)


Desired Skills

● Ability to develop a well-established communication cadence on the progress internally and externally, while keeping visibility

Candidate should be able to build a strong engineer to engineer relationship across various organizations within Cisco and customers

● Ability to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances

● Excellent program management skills of various phases of joint engagement from network architecture to deployment

● Ability to scale with multiple network engagements with multiple customers

● Result oriented individual with high energy who wants to get the job done with integrity
