In this Systems Engineering role, you will be able to showcase Cisco’s product solutions, collaborate and lead solution demonstrations, explain features and benefits to customers, and design solutions to meet specific customer needs. In addition to technological sales aptitude, the ability to learn quickly and stay current in technology knowledge and skills, your interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting / problem solving skills will give you the ability to drive Cisco’s vision and will give you a rapid path to success in growing your career.


Who You’ll Work With
This Pre-Sales Systems Engineering opportunity will allow you to partner with our Account Executives in a pre-sales technical role. This position will allow you access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in the exciting Service Provider market.

Who You Are
You have experience with direct account responsibilities in an assigned territory with some named customer accounts and are able to provide specific solutions, product consulting, & technical and sales support to your customers and your account team.

• Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects.
• Drive the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in assigned territory.
• Actively participate as a specialist on assigned Virtual Team, and/or Solutions Team.
• Develop area of specialization.

Skills Required:


• BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent required

• Service Provider experience preferred 
• 5+ years related Pre-sales experience.
• CCIE certification preferred.
• Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required.
• Knowledge of L3 routing and L2 switching technologies and solutions.
• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Data Center architecture and design, Cloud, Security
• Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, and applications including but not limited to Nexus, UCS, ASR 9K, ASR 9xx, NCS5xxx, NCS2k Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings.
• Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
