  • Who You’ll Work With

    As a member of the German Routing Architecture Team your focus as Systems Engineer will be providing technical pre-sales support for Enterprise and Service Provider customers.   In this team you will support account teams in  the sales cycle for complex SD WAN and MPLS networking solutions. By playing a key role in tailoring market leading solutions and roadmaps for our customers in Germany, together with our BU’s product development experts, you will make the difference against offerings from our competitors. Performing in-depth technical presentations for the expert level at customers and high-level presentations for technical executives will allow you to leverage your wide expertise. You will have the chance to demonstrate your practical experience by accompanying & driving product validation testing of highly scalable networking solutions in our proof of concept labs. Enjoy the relationship to the relevant experts within the account, the Cisco business unit and your peers within other account teams. 



     

    What You´ll Do

    • Translate customer requirements into network & solution designs
    • Support our customers in market transitions and adaptation of new concepts like Cisco`s Digital Network Architecture and  SD WAN
    • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers and prospects
    • Develop technical proposals and customer offers

    Who You are

    • Pre-sales experience is highly recommended
    • Several years experience with Enterprise and/or Service Provider network design and support
    • Experience in designing large scale WAN environments utilizing BGP, RSVP, MPLS,ISIS and/or OSPF
    • Solid understanding of TCP/IP (IPv4 & IPv6)
    • Ability to script using PERL/Python/XML/JSON
    • Knowledge of SDN and network function virtualization concepts
    • Experience/Knowledge in YANG data modeling language and NETCONF configuration protocol
    • Experience with NMS and operation/orchestration tools
