Description AT&T has a career opportunity for a Senior System Administrator in Panama City, FL (Tyndall Air Force Base) working with the local communications squadron to support the military installation. The applicant will provide administration and operations of network enterprise services as directed by the customer.

As part of an IT Team and in accordance with local policy, the applicant will provide administration of systems, servers, workstations, peripherals, communication devices and software to ensure they are operational and supported. Optimize performance and quality of service action as prescribed by Tier-2 element. Furthermore, perform the following duties as prescribed by the government customer:

+ Provide Performance Management services according to Air Force instruction (AFI 17-100), such as: trend analysis, predictive modeling and use of other diagnostic tools.

+ Collect data to develop and report metrics that are approved by Air Force/DoD customers.

+ Provide input to monthly network services outage report that should include network service outages, their duration, number of users impacted, etc.

+ Provide real-time system operational statistics for proactive management of network services.

+ Provide Configuration Management services according to Air Force guidance, AFI 17-100.

+ Monitor and respond to Fault Monitoring Management services.

+ Collect data by monitoring and analysis of network behavior and report such data as required by Air Force/DoD customers.

+ Provide monthly input to the Network Services Outage Report.

+ Assist the government in the performance of system administration and database configuration control and documentation support for customer support for unique systems.

+ Provide hardware maintenance of unique systems.

+ Execute technology insertion and system refresh required for unique systems as determined by the Government.

+ Provide system administration for systems, servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and software are on-line and supported.

+ Have a thorough understanding of customer's mission needs and be knowledgeable of hardware and software capabilities and limitations supporting that functional system.

+ Comply with the policies according to AFI 17-100.

+ Perform the responsibilities delegated by the Network Ops Center (NOC)/Network Control Center (NCC) to optimize performance and quality of service.

+ Ensure servers, workstations, peripherals, communications devices and operating system/application software are properly configured for network operation, are on-line and are available to customers.

+ Assign and maintain user IDs and passwords. Administer user privileges on the system.

+ Perform routine system maintenance.

+ Work with the NOC/NCC to implement network security policies and procedures.

+ Implement software patches and security fixes as required by the Air Force Network Operation and Security Center (AFNOSC) or program management office.

+ Test and validate the proper operation and configuration with appropriate patches and fixes, as required above, prior to restoring any device to the network.

+ Ensure physical security of DoD Information Network (DoDIN) components.

+ Monitor difficulty reports, heads-up messages and system advisory notices.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar technical discipline; relevant experience may substitute

• 7+ years of relevant experience

• Security+, GSEC or other certification meeting DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level-II requirements

Required Clearance: Security Clearance: Top-Secret


+ CCNA, MCSE Server Infrastructure or other network/system administration certificate

+ Experience working with DoD/USAF

+ Familiarity with USAF Communications Squadron construct and mission
