What You'll Do
Global Supplier Management has responsibility for driving Supplier business strategies, capabilities, and overall necessary development as a Cisco supplier. As a Supplier Commodity Manager, you have the responsibility to manage all commercial aspects – business strategies, goals, costs, performance, and contracts – of the partnership between Cisco and the Supplier. Understanding Cisco’s business needs and requirements, you own and drive requirements, expectations, and guidance / direction to Supplier. Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and articulate trade-offs, influence business decisions, and drive satisfactory resolutions. Possesses a sense of vision, ability to motivate and influence others, solve problems, meet deadlines, and exhibit executive presence. Role requires knowledge of Cisco products and processes.  Ability to translate complex cross Cisco technology roadmaps into a single sourcing and supplier management strategy. 
• Supplier Management and Overall Development - Strategies & Goals Development, Exec Reviews, Business Reviews, Technology Forums, Industry sensing 
• Cost Management - Productivity Goals, Fiscal Plans / Targets, Negotiations, Reporting & Analysis, Reviews
• Performance Management - Exec Escalations / Resolutions, Scorecards, SIPs, CAPs / UMPIRES, Audits
• Contracts - Requirements, Negotiations, Compliance
• Risk Management - BCPs, Sustaining Financial Health, Quality, Strategy, Geopolitical Risk Assessment, Financial Analyses & Summaries
• Materials Management - Strategic Inventory, Inventories, Scrap 
• Capacity - Strategic capacity (e.g., LEAN, Hubbing Strategies)
• Compliance -ISO, Tax, Buydown, E&O, Security, Human & Labor Rights, Ethics & IP
• Acquisitions Integration

Who You'll Work With
Engagements internally will be up to and including the executive level in Cisco’s Supply Chain, Engineering Team and Finance Organization.  External Executive connect points are expected at the executive level, and key account teams with our Supply Base.

Who You Are
• Excellent presentation and communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing practices and negotiations; exhibit sound judgement and strong integrity
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures, and the networking industry
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management requirements at each phase of development and manufacturing process cycle
• Adept at influencing partner executives 
• Capable of influencing internal decision makers to make decisions aligned with strategies and objectives benefiting the entire organization
• Strong team building skills to build bridges between different functional areas

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain
• Commodity Management experience required
• Extensive business strategy knowledge and implementation knowledge
• Bachelors degree; MBA desirable
