Job Description


Candidate must possess a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years in a validation or test environment.

- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in storage protocols SATA, SAS, or PCIe

Additional qualifications include:

- Must have excellent knowledge of system storage and the relationship to the platform ingredients: CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware, etc.

- Must be able to develop validation plans and strategies that encompass all aspects of product validation. This includes test-to-fail scenarios.

- Must be able to work with customers and translate their use cases into rigorous test scenarios in a compatibility test environment.

- Ability to manage large numbers of sightings/issues and drive them at a technical level.

- Must be able to deal with ambiguity and operate with little direction to meet defined goals.

- Comprehend and articulate validation strategies, plans and status.

- Datacenter experience is preferred but not a requirement if other areas are met.


This position plays a key role in the product development phase of Client SSDs with focus on SATA and PCIe SSD issues resolution.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Design and carry out experiments to identify failure root cause and improve validation methodologies for SSD issues
- Power, performance, protocol SATA, PCIe & NVMe, NAND etc
- Lead working groups and task forces to resolve issues
- Support SSD system level integration with OEM and Channel platforms for Client SSD Market segment.
- Work as a strong individual contributor and as a technical leader as part of a highly dynamic product development team
