SSD FW Test Developer

Job Description

Intel is seeking firmware validation engineers to join the NAND Solutions Group PCIe FW Engineering team. This role will help validate the next generation of Intel's industry-leading Solid State Drives. Responsibilities include development of system-level validation software and debug of test failures. Working closely with internal teams such as ASIC and firmware development to drive resolution of firmware and system bugs, and opportunities to drive improved validation methodologies within the team. This job requires a team player with solid verbal/written communication skills.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.  Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position:

Minimum qualifications: 
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 1+years of experience scripting languages such as Python.
- 1+years of experience with C/C++ programming.
- 1+years of experience with of RTOS concepts.
- 1+years of experience with firmware development environments including compilers, debuggers, and emulators.

Desired Skills: 
- Experience with ARM 32 bit processors.
- Knowledge of NVMe interface technology.
- Experience with hardware/software debugging using logic analyzers and protocol analyzers.
- Experience with working with Hardware including PCB, ASIC, and FPGA.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
