What You'll Do and Who You’ll Work With

The Small Business, SBTG, Business Unit Product Operations team in Cisco's Supply Chain Organization is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to reside in Shanghai, China.


In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop product specific Cisco mfg test requirements document (mTRD)
  • Review/approve ODM mfg test plan
  • Drive closed loop dialogue with ODM suppliers for closure of mfg test gaps as defined by Cisco
  • Review critical technical information,  coverage/yields/issues/FA root cause/capacity, for key NPI milestones
  • Influence supplier selection and pick the supplier with right skill / capability
  • Represent manufacturing (mfg.) test to the business unit.
  • Provide escalation support to the GMO and ODM teams
  • For new technology, collaborate closely with ODM/Cisco test community to innovate and define test strategy


Who You Are

Bachelors of Science - Electrical Engineering with 10+ years' experience, or equivalent.

You will need the required following skills:

  • PCB  board level and system level testing methodology.
  • Test Platform experience;  Autotest and/or Labview/CPP.
  • Knowledge on Switch, Wireless AP and Routing products
  • Programming skills;  must be able to demonstrate ability to develop structured and maintainable code
  • Create and review test plans
  • Instrumentation experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, network analyzers, and etc.
  • Self-motivated, willing to manage day-to-day tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong leadership and influence skill to work with both internal stakeholders and ODM teams
  • Great team work player, you like to work together with team members to achieve target


It is a plus if you also have the following Desired Skills:

Masters of Science - Electrical Engineering with 10+ years' experience, or equivalent.

  • Python programming experience
  • Data analysis, yield reports, CpK
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Trouble shooting and debug experience
