Description The Global Tier 3 (GT3) candidate is responsible for evaluating customer network/data and identifying/implementing technical solutions, interacting with customers, engineers, telecommunication managers, key technical personnel and contracted vendor representatives to ensure end-to-end solutions. Serves as technical advisor for AT&T Global Managed Services (MRS/EVPN/OS/MIS/INCS/AVTS/BVOIP) customers taking lead role in providing technical solutions. This particular role requires Routing, Switching, Juniper and VOIP experience and will act as one of the technical escalation points for BVOIP technical issues in Global Tier 3 group. Also will be required to support other GT3 engineers in resolving customer's issue which might involve working directly with the customer, vendor and other support groups within AT&T. Required to have good understanding on Domain 2.0 technologies and services such as Flexware and ADiOD. Must be able to dynamically multitask on diverse issues and work in a fast pace SLA driven environment.



**Roles and Responsibilities:**

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:



1. Troubleshooting and providing remote network support of Routers, Switches, and Juniper using variety of routing protocols.



2. This role requires Data and Voice experience. Acts as a subject matter expert and/or as a technical advisor assisting customers with access/performance related issues. Work as part of a technical virtual team and ensure issue is being work on around the clock using Follow the Sun support.



3. Will be required to work on weekend shift – Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday.



4. Writes complex technical and/or user documentation in a clear and concise manner, develops, coordinates, and schedules shared learning technical training sessions.



5. A demonstrable knowledge and experience is a MUST in the area of VOIP troubleshooting as well.



**Key Competencies and Skills:**

Minimum 8 - 10 Years of experience working with Routing/Switching/Juniper/VOIP and Nexus Environment.

Strong problem solving, analysis, design, communication, documentation, implementation, customer service skills.

Strong experience in multiple network protocols and practical application in an enterprise networking environment

Firm understanding of WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, ISIS and OSPF)

In-depth knowledge of routing, switching and WAN services

Experience working with WAN circuit and Metro-E

WAN and LAN QoS in relation with Voice traffic, e.g: DSCP marking, policing, shaping, LLQ, MQC, WRED

Voice protocols e.g: H.323, MGCP, SIP, SCCP, RTP

Fax protocols e.g: T38, Fax-relay, Fax-passthrough

TDM and Analog signaling e.g: T1/E1 PRI, E&M, T1 CAS, E1 R2

Solid experience with Cisco router/switch platform including Nexus

Strong experience with Juniper router and switch configuration

Experience working with Wireshark and able to analyze packets and protocols

Work experience in customer support role is a plus

Good understanding of Linux, Shell Scripting, virtualization, SDN, NFV and Domain2.0 Services such as Flexware and ADiOD

Strong problem solving, analysis, design, communication, documentation, implementation, customer service skills.

Experience working with Wireshark and able to analyze packets and protocols

Work a flexible shift schedule when required

Work experience in customer support role is a plus



**Education and Qualifications:**

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other related field

Cisco Expert or Professional level experience is required or Juniper equivalent will be an added advantage.
