are looking for a Sr. Network Architect at AT&T Entertainment Group (EG).
This is an opportunity to work with AT&T’s network architecture team, a
team of world class talent at the forefront of innovation and technology.

**What You Will Do @ AT&T Entertainment Group**


+ Design and develop the nextgeneration of linear, Streaming and application video network architecture.

+ Ensure intermediarybroadcast/broadband/OTT video storage infrastructure will meet growing needs ofincreased 4K content, AD generation, and AEIS’s combined platform VOD needs.

+ Ideal candidate shouldbe somebody who enjoys and can lead the network design, architecture, planningacross Video compression, Conditional access, Service Provider and Data Center environments.

+ Leadnetwork strategy for building a new Video Delivery platform to deliver nextgeneration video services over web, on mobile networks, Wireline IP networksand via Satellite.

+ Effectively Contributetowards the architecture delivery of 4K, advanced Video services, Targetedadvertising over any device, seamlessly and reliably ensuring industry leadingcustomer experience.

+ Designs, analyzes, plansand modifies network components and architecture in support of the wireless andwireline infrastructure for Video Services.

+ May provide mid tolong-term planning for a specific technology which includes analysis, solutionrecommendations, and implementation strategies to complex business issues.These activities are the basis for capital deployment and allocation decisions.

+ Develops and evaluatesnetwork performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis ofthe short-term or long-term capacity needs for wireless and wirelineinfrastructure. May conduct network architecture design, feasibility and coststudies. Studies and forecasts traffic drivers to determine short and/or longterm capacity needs.

+ Recommends strategicnetwork architecture planning and network evolution policy decisions in supportof corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic andservice reliability criteria;

+ Evaluates new andemerging technologies for addition and/or application to existing networksystems

+ Conducts economic andpopulation growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and developmentplan projections;

+ Creates deliverablessuch as management reports, business cases, infrastructure deploymentguidelines, 3 Year Plans, Plans of Record, Project Approval Letters, andServing Plans.

+ Works with key internalstakeholder & vendors to determine future business & customer needs.

+ Facilitate and leaddesign reviews between cross functional groups

+ Lead research of newtrends and technologie

+ Understand AEG's longterm design vision and present the strategic benefits of adopting a consistentarchitectural approach

+ Lead thearchitecting and building of the CDN Strategy backbone

+ Contributetowards SDN/NFV & cloud technologies within DIRECTV

+ Evaluate forof latest trends and technologiesincluding cloud readiness and produce best practices based on yourfindings

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ BS Degree in ElectricalEngineering (EE), Computer Science (CS), or related discipline

+ 8-10 yrs or moreexperience working in a similar or related field

+ In-depth understandingof Video network Architecture framework /broadcast/broadband/OTT/IPTV videoworkflow

+ Functional expertise inthe following areas:

+ OTT, IPTV, MobileTV experience.

+ Video Compression and Distribution – Headend: Encoders andDecoders, multiplexers

+ VoD technologies – video servers

+ Virtualization, Switching, Routing, Security devices, Loadbalancers

+ QoS/QoE architecture and monitoring solutions

+ Strong knowledge on IPinternetworking –

+ IP routing protocols like BGP, ISIS and OSPF

+ Multicast Routing Protocols such as PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, MSDP, PIM-BSRetc.


+ Deep exposure to Cisco data center products such like CRS-1,ASR9K, Nexus 7K/5K/2K, 7600, 6500, IOS/IOS-XR software.

+ Understanding of latesttrends and technologies including mobile and packet core preferred

+ Leadership qualities,including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills andability to influence others

+ Excellent communicationskills are ideal in order to be able to participate and drive customermeetings, as well as develop solutions.

+ Ability to work understressful situations, meet tight deadlines and deliver services with highquality
