The Sr. Member of Technical Staff develops solutions to complex business and technical problems or issues of complex scope using advanced engineering and scientific principles. This position analyzes service/application usage and performance statistics from traffic monitoring system and correlate with network performance statistics in order to extract network intelligence and business intelligence in support of service quality improvement, access network architecture & design, and network claims related to services/applications.



Key Roles and Responsibilities:



1. Extract, transform and load flow level raw data from network monitoring system in AT&T networks. Apply sophisticated data analysis algorithm to characterize service/application performance such as over-the-top video bit rate and video stalling time.



2. Conduct complex analysis over service/applications performance data, correlate with network nodal/probe statistics to produce insights and recommendation for service/applications performance improvements in access network.



3. Collaborate with other network teams and consumer marketing team to design and construct network metrics and network claims related to service/applications.



4. Manage/troubleshoot complex service/applications problems escalated from the drive test, customer complaint or network monitoring, rely on deep domain knowledge and advanced data mining techniques to identify root cause and make appropriate recommendations for fixing the problems quickly.



**Education: Required: PhD, Masters or Bachelors degree in an approved field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university.**



**Experience: PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Supervisory: No.**
