The Business Entity
The South East Asia Regional Operations team is responsible for in-region manufacturing operational excellence and execution of key quality, delivery and supply chain metrics at the factories where our three main manufacturing partners are located.

The Team
The Test Development Engineer (TDE) provides new product and on-going test engineering support for a product or group of products with a strong demonstration of core engineering skills, design concepts / principles and diagnostic capabilities.

Role & Responsibilities
The TDE Lead role and responsibilities will include that of the TDE and is expected to act as a leader (e.g. representing several groups of products/Business Units (BU) or those specific to particular sites) who has significant impact on the business assigned to him/her. He/She will be expected to successfully lead and drive initiatives across products/BUs and/or within a MPa site. The TDE Lead is also able to lead a team of junior engineers and represent the regional team in meetings with various functional groups within Cisco to share factory metrics and challenges. Good program/project management and communication skills and ability to lead a team of cross-functional team members and engineers is a requirement for a lead position.

• Engage with the CDO product team prior to concept commit to influence Df(x) and provide inputs on DFT.
• Collaborate with product team to design, develop, implement and deploy test strategies, test plans and test processes for a group of products.
• Completes test programs and scripts for Manufacturing Partners (MPa).
• Assesses test equipment costs.
• Oversees delivery and assembly of test equipment.
• Provides technical support for all DRTs and Line stops/Purges/Quality issues.
• Resolve non-structural systemic product problems and yield issues.
• Identify anomalies & necessary enhancements to diagnostics deployed in manufacturing and drive to corrective action.
• Assist with the resolution of product & process design anomalies uncovered during the manufacturing test process.
• Model ECOs/deviation, new products, software and diagnostics, all test enhancements and releases prior to release to manufacturing.
• Ensure manufacturing test capacity is sufficient for material requirements plan (MRP).
• Assist with the transfer of test processes (inclusive of test equipment) to on/offshore Manufacturing Partners (MPa).
• Context Engineer Management.
• CIP submission and NRE review and approval.

Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a BSEE, BSEET, BSCE or equivalent experience plus 8 years Functional Test Development Experience. MSEE with 1-2 years Test or Design experience preferred. Telecommunication, Networking and Optical knowledge and experience will be an added advantage.
