Job Description
This is an exciting position for experienced software engineers combining software engineering work with customer support and influencing major Partners like Oracle. This job will give you the opportunity to create positive impact in fostering Intel's software eco-system. In this role, you will be providing technical consulting for Intel developer products to our strategic customers in Asia Pacific/India region. Software Technical Consulting Engineers TCE focuses on enabling external and internal customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of Intel Software Technology and Products. You are also expected in this position to focus on specifically Intel C/C++ compiler to validate RDBMS and many other Oracle products. In addition to customer support, TCEs are expected to test new & upcoming product features, submit, & verify bug reports and develop knowledge base articles. You will support pre and post-sales support including training and therefore you are expected to have strong written and verbal communication skills. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following: Technical consulting and training strategic customers regularly on-site or remotely. Developing, prototyping, and documenting code samples for technical trainings, seminars and webinar like activities. Troubleshooting software issues, tuning performance with using C/C++ Compiler and other Software components of Intel Parallel Studio, documenting solutions, and workarounds for distribution to internal and external customers. Creating technical marketing collateral, knowledge base articles, and customer case studies. Working with customer applications and build tools Microsoft Visual Studio*, Eclipse*, make, etc. Soliciting customer feedback proactively on Intel developer products and technologies and ensure this feedback is understood by the appropriate teams within Intel. Leveraging customer feedback in conjunction with appropriate use of internal investigations to drive the design requirements for the next generation of hardware and software. Collaborating with product development teams in planning next generation product features.-Determining and defining best practices for Intel developer products and highlighting these to educate software developers at key industry events, onsite at ISVs.


Qualifications:Key Qualifications - A minimum of a Master's degree in an engineering discipline such as computer engineering or electrical engineering or in computer science. 5+ years of experience in developing, validating and optimizing software applications. Depth knowledge of Intel processor families ranging from Atom to Core, Xeon based processors. Good knowledge of Microsoft* Visual Studio and GNU tool chain with debugging applications on Windows/Linux platform. Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people and excellent presentation skills for peers, senior management, partners, and customers. Proven ability to demonstrate "self-leadership" and work effectively in fast fluid and even ambiguous environments. Ability to rapidly grasp and resolve complex problems by efficiently utilizing direct and virtual team resources. Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and influencing others to help drive organizational and cross organizational deliverables. Ability to travel about 10-20% a month. Working knowledge of Intel Software Development Products, especially for Intel C++ Compiler, VTune Amplifier and performance libraries, etc. Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and hands on experience of windows debugging tools will be added advantage.
