Who you’ll Work With

You will be closely working with the product and account team, technical marketing engineers, escalation team, regression team, feature test team, development team and management team to do the system and scale testing on N2k, N5k, N6k and N7k products.

  • ·       Manual and automation testing in networking technologies at Layer-2 (e.g.: IEEE 802.3 Ethernet switching, 802.1D bridging, 802.1Q VLAN and protocols like LACP,STP,I GMP etc), Layer-3 (e.g.: forwarding and routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, MSDP etc), Vxlan, Fabricpath and overlay networks, FC/FCoE, ACL, QoS, SPAN, Data Analytics, SDN (OnePK, Openflow)
  • ·       Design study and develop test plan for platform software components and bring up of new platforms. It would involve understanding the component software design, plan manual test plan (white box and black box). Work with developers during board bring up, sw development and UT/IT phase
  • ·       Execute test plan as per release timelines with good quality assurance
  • ·       Comprehend newer, complex data-center customer requirements and translating to feature test plans as per functional and design specifications for those features independently
  • ·       Development of automation scripts (Perl/Python) for the regression activity
  • ·       Design and execution of scale and performance test plan
  • ·       Design, update and execution of system and integration test plan according to release timelines
  • ·       Support to customer facing teams for problem analysis, troubleshooting and issue reproduction support

Requirements/Expectations

  • ·       L2/L3 Forwarding/Protocol experience, QoS, ACL, Exposure to SAN technologies, prior experience with storage networking systems, with understanding of Fiber Channel technology and protocols, data center products
  • ·       Ability to widely apply networking principles, theories and field concepts to product testing and possession of working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • ·       Hands-on experience with one or more of the LAN/WAN and network layer protocols. Understand related products' architecture. Understands competitive products.
  • ·       Ability to apply new technology independently. Ability to design multiple subsystem architecture. Ability to plan small projects. Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple sub systems.
  • ·       Interfaces cross-functionally at the working team level. Customer resolution requires excellent communication skills. Sponsors and models exemplary team interaction. Encourages and accepts performance feedback. Mentors junior team members. Dedication to Customer Success. Demonstrates Leadership. Acknowledged technical expert on product.
  • ·       Proficiency in programming in TCL/Python for automation scripts
  • ·       Basic understanding of C/C++
  • ·       Must be a self-starter, team player, must have the hunger to venture into unknown areas and code and make the system work, must be able to work cohesively within the team and across geographically spread teams to accomplish results
