Position description

Virtual Platforms are software simulation models of hardware designs, and are used for pre-silicon software development, HW/SW co-validation, and architectural exploration.  The Virtual Platform team is a collaborative and innovative group of engineers who develop virtual platforms for future generations of Intel SSDs.  The team works on a wide range of tasks spanning the whole product development lifecycle, including model design, development, and testing, infrastructure development, third party IP integration, and deployment and support of virtual platforms for the full spectrum of use cases.  Our development flow is compliant with the Accellera Systems Initiative SystemC and TLM2 standards, based on C++, and performed mainly in the Windows environment.

What you’ll do

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and developing software models built on virtualization technologies
  • Creating and implementing test strategies to verify the software models
  • Supporting, debugging, and maintaining deployed virtual platforms
  • Working with a cross-functional team to solve complex problems
  • Engaging with multiple customers to gather and understand their requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement in our processes and infrastructure



Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented design methodologies

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in SystemC and ESL modeling
  • Knowledge of ARM microprocessor architecture and CPU behavior
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, C-Shell)
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills, innovative thinking, and a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
