SoC Design Verification Engineer

Job Description

As a verification engineer, you will be part of the Systems Engineering team in the Intel's None-Volatile Solutions Group which is developing Solid State Drive (SSD) controller ASICs.


  • Architectural specification review
  • Verification planning and architecture
  • Pre-silicon functional verification using the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and random-constrained, coverage-driven techniques
  • Close interaction with the logic design and firmware teams
  • Development of class-based SystemVerilog models
  • Verification methodology development and improvement

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree with 4 years of experience or Master Degree with 3 years of experience in in the following areas:
    *Digital logic design and/or verification
    * Hardware description language (VHDL or Verilog and/or System Verilog)
    * Objected oriented programming in  C++, Java, or SystemVerilog
    * Logic simulation tools such as Modelsim or VCS

Preferred Qualification:

  • PCIe, NVMe, SAS/SATA and Nonvolatile media
  • Random-constrained, coverage-driven verification
  • Industry standard verification methodologies like OVM, VMM, eRM and UVM (UVM preferred)
  • Formal Property Verification
  • Embedded Firmware
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Motivated, self-directed and able to work effectively both independently and in a team
  • Good planning skills
