Description + Provides monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of large Information Technology (IT) enterprises.

+ Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

+ Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

+ Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

+ Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

+ Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

+ Configures and manages Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance; coordinates maintenance with external stakeholder organizations; works independently and with little to no supervision to meet or exceed goals and objectives



The Level 2 Network Administrator/Operations Analyst shall possess the following capabilities:



+ Extensive Solarwinds operations experience to include ability to detect outages, performance management or monitoring issues, and other direct network-related concerns

+ Extensive ServiceNow or Solarwinds Web Help Desk experience to include ability to map and understand incident/trouble work flows and work/service request workflows

+ Extensive SharePoint 2010+ experience with setting up new sites/pages, web parts/applications, etc. for operations and engineering-specific documentation repository and user experience

+ Meticulous and prolific documentation expert and critical thinker; must enjoy documenting processes/procedures

+ Manages several monitoring and control tools to maintain 8x5 visibility over multiple enterprise environments

+ Familiar with IT Service Management (ITSM) framework with ability to adapt framework as needed

+ Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems

+ Manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems

+ Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems

+ Help users in accessing and using IT systems, setting up and managing desktop accounts and account access

+ Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

+ Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems

+ Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

+ Optimizes system operations and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning

+ Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

+ Provides in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems

+ Provides detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets

+ Supports the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware

+ Analyzes and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration



Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Ten (10) years’ experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Operations Support Systems, systems administration, project management, and network operations experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.



Required Clearance: Applicant must be a US citizen and have a current TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph.



Desired: Telecommunications experience; Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, Intel/McAfee, Centrify, Splunk, SharePoint, Netbackup, Puppet, and Niagara Files.
