Description Senior Cyber Security / IA Engineer leading the Cyber and IA segment for a complex, multi-year, mission critical DoD communications infrastructure upgrade.



+ Provides Information Assurance design and engineering direction for the upgrade of network systems.

+ Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide information security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.

+ Provides leadership and guidance in the development, design, and application of solutions implemented by mid-level and junior staff members.

+ Coordinates with technical staff to establish and define programs, resources, and risks.

+ Assesses configuration changes for security impacts; assists in the development of alternate courses of action or implementation of resultant measures.

+ Performs system administration functions to include (but not limited to) documenting the security architecture.

+ Develops user security guidelines and SOPS.

+ Performs functions as required Risk Management Framework and other DoD and US Government policy and guidance.

+ Must have expert-level cyber/IA knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD) plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition, test, certification and implementation support of software, hardware, network and computer resources.

+ Applies practitioner knowledge of Certification & Accreditation (C&A) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements to develop and assess cybersecurity solutions.

+ Must be capable of assessing recommendations, developing solutions, and driving the team to resolution of technical challenges on the program.

+ 20-40% travel may be required



+ CISSP and 15 years’ experience plus Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar technical or engineering discipline.

+ This position will require IAT Level II Certification including DoD-approved IA workforce certifications appropriate for each category and level as listed in the current version of DoD 8570.01-M; and appropriate operating system certification for IA technical positions as required by DoD 8570.01-M. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.

+ Must be accustomed to interacting with senior DoD Civilian and Military leadership.



Required Clearance: DoD security clearance level of SECRET to support coordinated work on SECRET facilities and networks.
