What You'll Do

Provide technical and functional leadership for the Hyperflex platform and file-system engineering team. Primary responsibilities include: managing a highly skilled and motivated team in the area of distributed file-system development. Driving end-to-end product development processes from planning, resourcing, execution and release deliverables in collaboration with the broader geographically diverse engineering and product management teams. Participate in continuous improvements in process, product features and product stability including customer escalations and patches to address field defects.

Who You'll Work With

You will work with product management on functional specifications, highly skilled file-systems engineers on design specs & implementation and the QA organization on automation and comprehensive test coverage. You will work with tech leads and managers across the engineering organization including File Systems, Performance, Solutions and QA to drive cross-functional deliverables per the product road-map. You will collaborate with storage device vendors to integrate and drive performance evaluations. You will work with product support organizations to manage customer escalations and drive bug-fix and patch releases.


Who You Are

  • You have 15 or more years of experience in design and development of scalable, resilient enterprise storage system software, especially in developing distributed/hyperconverged NAS or SAN technologies.
  • At least 5 years of managing a team of SAN/NAS file-system engineers with deliverables in caching technologies, block/file storage software development.
  • Experience in Distributed Systems and experience in virtualization technologies from VMware, HyperV and OpenStack is highly desirable. Experience in replication technologies is nice to have.
  • Good communication, presentation and inter-personal skills to recruit and motivate a team of highly skilled engineers.
  • Direct experience with IT industry standard project management processes such as Agile Development and project tracking tools is a must.
