EDOS Master Data Management services team makes an impact by maintaining accurate system of records for Master data (Customer & Partner Registry) and timely delivery of it for enterprise consumption. This shared Data-as-a-Service utilized cross functional forums to drive governance, communications and execution of all requests. Do you like being in a central role and working cross functionally? Influence many functions across the company to deliver data services with speed, efficiency and quality. The team takes pride in driving high impact data quality initiative, maintaining trusted relationship working with various function within Cisco.

You will serve as the primary subject-matter expert for the service with a deep expertise in the Data analytics, profiling, segmentation and threading, with strong understanding of art of mastering data. You will proactively and consistently explores ways to improve customer experience by developing strategic vision to drive tactical activities for data-driven systems. You will explore, compare & contrast new technologies to uptake and recommend best paths forward. You will be expected to recommend and improve source data interface architecture. You will be responsible to provide guidance on how customer use-cases can be solved leveraging the Big Data open source platform and technology. You will connect with various databases (Oracle, Mongo) to pull in relevant information, use hadoop cluster for analysis and present in Tableau for Business consumption. You will be expected to audit current data architecture, identify gaps and improvement opportunities

Who You’ll Work With

You will interact with and advices stakeholders and consumers of the enterprise master data. You much have a clear ability to influence leadership across organizations and securing buy-in and funding as necessary to improve the service working closely with IT and Business Architecture and capability teams.

Who You Are

You’re a result driven technical leader who influences cross functional operations teams. You manage an easily accessible high performance “big data” environment, with a focus on designing, building, and integrating (incl. ETL) large volume of data. You are responsible for managing big data for data science activities to drive decision making across the organization. You are experienced individual with ability to write/review code (APIs, POCs, prototypes) and establish web service for data science models. You leverage Machine learning / data science to provide solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years hands-on implementation or consulting experience building large-scale big data systems
  • 3+ years of Software Development experience with C++, Java, .NET, Python or Ruby or other languages
  • Experience with data analytic tools including Apache Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Storm, HBase, Flink, Zeppelin and others
  • BA/BS degree required; Computer Science, Math or Technical background highly desired; Advanced Degree a plus
  • Ability to communicate data requirements clearly to broad audiences
  • Team player with positive can-do attitude, energetic and proactive Desired Skills
  • Deep understanding Database design concepts
  • Experience with NoSQL (SAP Hana, HBase, HDFS, Cassandra or MongoDB)
