The Team 
Join a fast growing and innovative sales team in Service Provider Sales Team which handles to promote and sell infrastructure/enterprise networking, DC, software products and services toward Regional Service Provider based in Tokyo. We handle Telco’s, cloud and datacenter, alternative carriers and the web providers that are exploding across the world. The team manages sell-to relationships and a huge breadth of portfolio solutions and services.
As a Senior Account Manager / Group Leader on the GSP team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the customer in Tokyo to promote both product and services to achieve multi-million dollar target. You will play a key leadership role in the driving the GSP account plan and leading the team to successful outcomes with the customer. This will include strategic solution selling, business development and also go-to-market activities of Cisco products and services. This high-profile role requires a diverse skillset and entrepreneurial mindset and your success will be dependent not only on your ability to sell, but also on the relationships you develop with both the Customer, Channel Partner and Cisco global teams so full fluency in Japanese as well as business level of English speaking and writing skills will be required. This is a high-energy position requiring an individual to be extremely motivated. The role reports locally to Sales Manager in Japan.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage a large account, including forecasting, quota attainment, and frequent opportunity management using SFDC.

  • Work with a complex strategic account calling on key decision makers, especially management levels

  • Sell to key influencers and managers of major service provider to develop pipelines and eventually close the business working with management teams of both Customers, Channel Partner and Cisco.
  • Build plans with Cisco account teams and architecture (technology) teams to penetrate new franchises and architectures.

  • Develop partnerships that lead to new infrastructure and solution offers 

  • Negotiate business relationships and contracts

  • Drive marketing and demand generation programs that build customer success

Minimum Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of high tech business, market and companies
  • Plenty of knowledge and experience of projects for SP routing business
  • More than 7 years sales experience for Service Provider Customer
  • English skill: > TOEIC 730
  • Business communication skill
  • Account planning as a sales group leader

Desired Skills

  • 10+ years of large scale strategic selling experience.

  • English skill: > TOEIC 850
  • Background selling to or through Service Providers and/or selling managed services

  • Experience working in a channel sales model

  • Proven ability to quickly build new relationships, navigate complex organizations and influence multiple stakeholders

  • Background selling IP networking, datacenter, wireless and security technologies
