Security Systems Manager (CCTV/Electrical Engineering)

Primary Job Duties:

  • In charge of the maintenance of all security equipment (CCTV, Physical Access Control) at the site to ensure proper and efficient functioning by: regular testing/monitoring of equipment and on-going preventative maintenance of systems
  • Maintaining records/documentation for pre & post installation of equipment
  • Review & update security systems layout.
  • Recommend enhancement and upgrade of systems to support business need by benchmarking systems performance to develop BKM.
  • Participate in Corporate Security task force, recommend system changes and enhancements, manage inventory of all equipment back up & spares to minimize disruption to business
  • Budget management to ensure strategic goals are met and equipment uptime is maintained
  • Facilitate working arrangements with security vendors or employees to ensure safe & timely installation, routine maintenance and repairs of equipment by: coordinating work between supplier, internal customers & partners documentation, scheduling, Gantt charts & Safety plans to meet site requirements
  • Be the site content expert on MDS and design activities
  • Manage site PM Service contract through IFM Supplier or other contractors
  • Partner with internal groups to ensure MDS and design specs, Security standards are maintained, schedules, and customer needs are met


Qualifications

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- General knowledge of the overall integrated Physical security systems (CCTV, and Physical Access Control) or other related low voltage systems like Life Safety systems, or Building Management systems.
- Ability to apply systems knowledge to facilitate resolution of operational issues
- Appropriate tertiary, technical or managerial qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of computing programs, UNIX, Microsoft products and electrical engineering
- Project management skills to manage security projects, implement and sustain security system
- Management skills to develop site technicians to perform jobs well
- Well verse on reading designs packages
- Possess good presentation skills
- Good interaction and communication skills to work with various organizations across the site
- Experience managing suppliers and contracts
- Ability to read Blueprints/Schematics
- Proficient with MS Office, Visio, ACAD

Preferences:
- 5+ years of related experience in Physical Security systems (CCTV, Physcial Access Controls), Life Safety systems, Building Management systems or other low voltage systems
- Basic knowledge of networking
- MS SQL experience
