Description The Security Systems Engineer shall support the engineering and integration of the customer’s endpoint security system (ESS) solution, and ensure that its multiple elements are integrated into a single deployable packaged capability. They shall support the strategic implementation of the ESS program to facilitate sharing of information across programs to ensure systems compatibility and to leverage best practices, lessons learned, and experiential knowledge to the greatest extent practicable. The contractor shall examine functional, management and technical requirements and/or issues to provide effective solutions for integration efforts.



+ Analyze current support requirements and capabilities in relation to existing functions, operations, technology, and technical trends



+ Provide integration and transitional strategies that consider all ESS components in order to produce a technically feasible cybersecurity solution

+ Document efforts necessary to ensure little or no degradation of service occurs throughout the transition

+ Examine functional, management and technical requirements and/or issues to provide effective solutions for integration efforts

+ Review existing DoD STIG documentation related to ESS, applicable operating systems and other separately contracted software, and ensure its technical direction is consistent with DoD benchmarking and best practices

+ Provide engineering support to the creation of future STIG guidance and current optimization studies being conducted by Government

+ Assist the government in creating DoD best practice guidance for integrating legacy, GOTS products and other security capabilities into the existing baseline process

+ Support the development of best practice guidance for separately contracted software vendor products

+ Assist in developing a strategy for the deployment and use of existing and other security tools to assist DoD in the rollout of policies to the production environment

+ Provide technical and operationally focused input into DoD training development efforts

+ Assist in the creation of the Integration Management Plan by identifying all requirements for integrating ESS into the Enterprise

+ Assist the Government CM Team in refining and executing the Product Integration Plan in order to develop and maintain the ESS deployable image

+ Identify associated risks in performance of integration and present risk mitigation and resolution strategies

+ Address and capture ‘lessons learned’ during implementation resulting from non-standard environments

+ Assist the Government in testing solution integration, and resolution of issues arising from testing and implementation

+ Utilize standard integration procedures and help develop new procedures as necessary to resolve integration issues



+ Minimum of 5 years of experience with the development, integration, and implementation of software packages and endpoint security solutions

+ Experience with multiple endpoint security products (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and other Host based Security environments)

+ Minimum 5 years of experience working with DoD mandated End Point security technologies (Intel HBSS, ACAS solutions)

+ Familiar with DOD architectures and procedures for endpoint management

+ Knowledge of McAfee products such as: Enterprise Policy Orchestrator, Anti-Virus, Endpoint Encryption, Agent Handler, and Host Intrusion Prevention System

+ Experience integrating complex multi-vendor solution using open standard protocols and APIs (e.g. SOAP, XML, and vendor APIs)

+ Experience with System Engineering best practice

+ • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification - e.g. CompTIA SecurityDesired Experience, Education, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science



Required Clearance: Active Secret with eligibility for TS
