<b>What You'll Do</b>

You will work for the Service Provider Video Software and Solutions (SPVSS) team to brings IoE to life by connecting people, devices, video, and other information to enable experiences that are personalized, synchronized, more social- and more relevant than ever before.  You will leverage cloud solutions to empower SPs and CPs with Agility to bring these new experiences to market faster, thereby maintaining their competitive edge, minimizing costs, and driving new revenue streams while increasing consumers’ stickiness.   Moreover, at any time and from anywhere consumers get to enjoy more fulfilling immersive entertainment like multi-screen cDVR, TV Everywhere, in-home 4K video, personalized advertising, companion devices, etc. either as a la carte services, or as a bundled service.

<b>Who You'll Work With</b>

As an RPIL QA Engineer, you’ll work with a geographically distributed team (Pennsylvania, Toronto, and Massachusetts) producing a video wholesaling solution built on top of an advanced micro services framework.  This Cloud born SaaS application is used by world’s largest MSO and provides advanced video services to retail cable providers and, ultimately, to millions of subscribers.  

<b>Who You Are</b>

You will create new automated test cases, update existing test cases, and investigate failures uncovered through testing to find root of issues and report defects to appropriate parties.  You will also Create/execute manual test cases and collaborate as an active member on a scrum team. Implement performance tests and investigate performance degradations. 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodology: 3+ years deriving comprehensive test plans from requirements and user stories, and authoring and execution of test cases.

1-3 years testing distributed software systems and Web applications

1-3 years working with RESTful services

1-3 years Linux Scripting (Bourne/Bash/Ruby/Python)

1-3 years OOP experience (Java, C++, or similar language)

1-3 years working with software deployed in highly distributed, preferably cloud-based, environments spanning data centers.

Desired Skills

SoapUI/ReadyAPI experience

Java or similar programming experience

Performance Testing experience (jMeter)

Non-functional Testing
