What You’ll Do


You’ll help us bring to life the Global Employee Communications vision: To energize employees with a connected experience that informs them about our business, engages them in our culture and gives them confidence in our future. Specifically, in fiscal year 2018, we want to take big steps to personalize the information employees get each day—to spark conversations and help them align to each other and the business.

As a Project Manager, you’ll drive the planning and execution of exciting employee experiences. And you’ll be part of a creative, pioneering, award-winning team that plays an important role in the company’s success. Here’s how you'll do that.


Project Management—You’re the glue that holds the core team together. You’ll develop a project plan and track the end-to-end execution of all milestones and deliverables, from content to logistics, as they align to the overall event strategy. You’re a master at balancing responsibilities across the team. You’ll manage budgets, vital meetings and tasks/actions while driving decisions that ensure the success of the overall experience or initiative at hand. You’ll primarily focus on events, but will also manage digital projects. And you will use your communication skills to copyedit, proofread, and revise comms as needs arise.


Partnerships—You’ll create and maintain critical partnerships with our stakeholders, like Executive and Regional Communications, HR, IT, Cisco TV, and other internal and external vendors. You’re the voice of the employee, acting as their advocate in these experiences and initiatives.


Who You’ll Work With


This role is very collaborative and works across the company to deliver excellent experiences for our people. In addition to those mentioned above, you will partner with other groups in Global Employee Communications (like Digital Strategy and Content & Communications), the Office of the CEO, various Human Resources executives and their teams, and other internal communications teams within the regions and functions, to align plans and business priorities.

And, you’ll get all of this done with the help of your core team—the Event Lead, Event Communications Manager and Experience Manager for the Executive Audience. 

Who You Are

You’re a master organizer, collaborative and creative. You have experience managing projects end to end, from idea to execution to debrief. You understand what drives your audience and make sound recommendations to the project plan and resourcing with that in mind. You are comfortable managing vendor relationships and the PO/SOW process. You have experience managing to a budget and are a pro at working with Finance to prioritize investments based on business and strategic priorities.

Our minimum requirements for this role include:

  • 5-7 years of experience managing events and large projects
  • Experience writing, editing or managing cross-functional, global communications
  • Experience at Cisco (or comparably-sized company) within the past five years
