What You’ll Do

The Project Manager is a key player in the Advanced Services business. The Project Manager will be responsible for high profile, digital transformation projects.

You will report to Andreas Vollenweider, Manager of Client Project and Program Management. You will manage key accounts in Global Enterprise Accounts, Advanced Services.

The role will focus on the successful delivery and completion, on-time and on-cost delivery of all contractual commitments with customer satisfaction. As the Project manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage medium ($500k) to large ($1M+) or multiple smaller customer facing projects
  • Creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals and agreements.
  • Oversee project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners and subcontractors.
  • Manage the project from start to completion including the resolution of project issues.
  • Accountable for the Project Budget
  • Accountable for Revenue and Cost Forecasting
  • Present service business value to customers for new or existing business
  • May manage internal projects/programs within Cisco
  • May manage ongoing optimization service to deployed customer network
  • Maintain customer satisfaction at Cisco targets or higher

Who You Are

  • As the Project Manager, you will have the following business and technical knowledge, skills and expertise
  • Project Management experience in the deployment of leading edge technologies in a complex commercial environment.
  • Major and Public-Sector account project management experience.
  • Achieved formal Project Management certification, ie PMP (Cisco preferred) or equivalent
  • Completed significant part of formal Agile/SCRUM training program or holds respective certification
  • Basic knowledge of routing, switching, internet, general network architecture, collaboration solutions, IoT and cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping
  • Good understanding of the legal issues with contracts
  • Demonstrate advanced negotiation and presentation skills
  • Understand organizational structures and their aims and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of office software and project planning and project management tool
  • German citizenship and eligibility to undergo Security Clearance procedures is a requirement

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus min 8 years related experience in networking / telecommunications industry
  • OR min several years managing IT & Telco projects in a clearly defined Project Management role.

Project Complexity

  • Manages medium to large, or multiple small customer deployments with clearly defined objectives which utilize existing or new Cisco technologies, multiple third-party

vendors and cross multiple functions, have high organization visibility and may include multiple locations or Regions.

  • Manages multiple critical tasks in tight time frames
