What You’ll Do

The Advanced Services (AS) Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end project life-cycle. This exciting role encompasses the initiate, plan, execute, monitor & control and close phases and ensuring that the project achieves the outcomes and objectives required by the customer and Cisco. The AS PM you will also provide subject matter expert support during the pre-sales phase of engagements.

  •        Delivery of projects in line with the Project Management Institute (PMI) methodology
  •        Project leadership, ensuring that project objectives are achieved and that all projects are delivered on time, in budget, and to the required acceptance and quality standards.
  •        Leadership and management of project teams including off shore resources, sub -contractor partners and other vendors as required
  •        Effective internal and external stakeholder management
  •        Compliance with Cisco and Advanced Services policies, processes and tools usage in line with the requirements of ISO 9001 certification
  •        Creation of lessons learnt feedback to drive continuous improvement of the Cisco Project delivery processes
  •        Compliance with country specific, Cisco and customer H&S Management policies and legislation
  •        Application of effective risk, issue and escalation management
  •        Application of effective scope and change management including impact analysis and contract changes
  •        Assist with engagement scoping and creation of accurate effort and cost estimates
  •        Creation and management of accurate WBS/Schedule to clearly define task relationships, dependencies, key dates and critical path items
  •        Creation of accurate project status reports-internal and external
  •        Effective management of project review meetings and conference calls and tracking of action items
  •        Proactive management of project costs and margin performance and provision of reports to key stakeholders. Application of agreed action plans to reduce costs while maintaining quality where required.
  •        Management of the project deliverable creation, review, approval, exchange and storage
  •        Develop technical & business knowledge as necessary to meet evolving business requirements
  •        Creation of accurate cost and revenue forecasts based on inputs from project team members and key stakeholders

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing competing demands from internal and external stakeholders and deliver successful projects in-scope and within budget, ensuring that the agreed project outcomes and objectives are achieved-best outcome for the customer and for Cisco. You will have the ability to focus on the tactical activities but can also see the customers overall strategic objectives and how the project fits into the larger business picture. You will have exceptional communications skills with strong capabilities and experience in project management. A strong personality with the ability to adapt to different customer environment and cultures (i.e. personalities, priorities, working environments, etc.) is essential. Additionally, the position will require a resource that is capable of understanding Cisco technologies and solutions, corporate objectives and the ability to manage projects, timelines, budgets and resources effectively and to support the deployment and operation of Cisco technologies and solutions.  You will have extensive experience in managing key stakeholders, understanding customer business challenges, developing solutions and leading successful delivery teams to achieve agreed business objectives.
