Cisco’s Internet of Things (IoT) Connectivity Group builds intelligent networks and software platforms for many different IoT applications. IoT Connectivity Group’s charter, as part of Cisco’s broader Internet of Things initiative, is to develop industrial switching, routing, wireless, and security products and industry-leading software platforms that capitalize on the trend toward all devices, machines, and vehicles becoming connected and integrated with traditional enterprise networks.


The Team

In this role, you'll be a part of the CSG PMO team in Bangalore. This team manages hardware and software programs for the Cisco Enterprise Group, working with cross functional teams across the globe. You will be managing programs for the IoT Connectivity Group: ensuring quality, budget, and time to market goals are met. We are looking for a motivated Program with top-notch collaboration and communication skills, to contribute to the development of our next generation products.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Program Manage complex projects/programs in networking technology involving cross functional teams such as Hardware, Software, Test, Mechanical/Thermal, Compliance, Manufacturing etc.

  • Develop complete and well thought out execution plans that incorporate sound contingency planning and risk assessments.

  • Track multiple project tasks to proactively anticipate problems, while always maintaining a solution orientation and a well-balanced perspective around risks and escalations.

  • Communicate effectively, using tools and processes to ensure transparency and collaboration across global teams.

  • Maintain an up-to-date project plan that can be referenced at any time.  

  • Manage program budget.

  • Manage a release: build & release activities not limited to Branch planning, scheduling builds, posting releases.

  • Lead meetings to resolve conflicts, facilitate decision making, and drive timely execution.

  • Collaboratively interface with external teams to obtain mutual wins.


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (BS)

  • Overall 8-10 Years of Experience including 4-5 yrs. of experience in program management

  • 1 to 3 yrs of overall software development/release/configuration management experience.

  • Excellent communication and organization skills


Desired Skills

  • PMP/Scrum master certification

  • Understanding and Experience in relevant technologies: mobility protocols (wireless 3G/4G), switching and routing

  • Experience in Industrial use cases or Power Grid  

  • Knowledge of Configuration and/or Release Engineering

  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
