Product Support Engineer PSE

Job Description

In this position, you will be part of a global team in Sales & Marketing - Intel Customer Support ICS. Primary focus will be on providing support for IOTG Transportation Solutions. You will be exposed to broad system areas, including OS, drivers, middleware, application, graphics, firmware, etc. and own system level enabling and debug. This is an opportunity to apply both technical knowledge and customer support skills.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Reproducing issues, representing the customers' technical needs to the business by being the voice of the customer.Developing and presenting technical product training materials for the customer.Partnering with the business unit to resolve technical issues and driving improvements to products, customer, and service experience.


Qualifications

BS / MS Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of embedded design, Linux & C/C++ programming experience -Strong JAVA and Android knowledge.

Customer support experiences in automotive industry.

Familiarity or experience in one of the following areas is a big plus, BSP integration, Camera, Security, Display and misc.

Strong hands on debug and problem solving skills.

Hands-on experience in the use of Electronic test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, to capture waveforms.

Good communication skills to interact with customers.

Ability to work independently, be proactive and collaborative, multitask effectively.

Willingness to travel within India.

Self-driven, quick learner and team player.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities will include working with the business team to help resolve customers technical questions, participate in onsite customers visits, and trainings. You need to immediately respond to customer/client requests or events as they occur.

  • Daily activities might include but not limited to the following:
  • Monitor issue tracking tool for incoming issues.
  • Provide on-site support as needed for data download and issue replication
  • Replication  and resolution of customer issues
  • Research and respond to customer questions
  • Escalate suspected bugs to the business unit BU engineers
  • Provide BU engineers with voice of the customer feedback
  • Recommend improvements to product, docs, support environment, and customer experience.
  • Attend BU provided training and continuous learning activities
  • Engage in weekly BU support meetings
  • Contribute to support documentation/FAQs/How-to collateral
  • Deliver onsite training for how-tos, BKMs, major release update knowledge sharing
  • Attend customer meetings as needed to cover technical support topics
