What You'll Do

  • You will analyze Cisco’s Service Provider portfolio and design strategies to increase the monetization of this segment within Cisco’s new software and recurring revenue led business strategy
  • You will partner with the product management teams and various other partners to align offers to the new platform economics based business strategy delivering recurring value in exchange for recurring revenue
  • Introduce new business models and licensing methods to improve the quality of our revenue and the stickiness with our customers
  • Define requirements and policies through customer interaction, market research, quantitative sizing, competitive analysis, and by working with sales and partners
  • Track the financial performance of the Service Provider business portfolio and work with business leaders to optimize growth based on the monetization strategy

Who You'll Work With

The Offer Monetization Office (OMO) is driving a transformation across Cisco to improve the company’s ability to deliver solutions built on intelligent networks to tackle customer challenges. We’re doing this by developing and executing a consistent software strategy across Cisco, to bring a software capability on par with the company’s strength in devices and services.

Reporting directly into the Sr. Director of Software Strategy in the OMO, you will join a best-in-class team of bright, dedicated, creative, and results oriented individuals. Your primary focus will be to drive strategic realignment of Cisco’s service provider software business, encompassing billions in software revenue across various platforms. You will work across the company’s product management and engineering organizations to rationalize our approach to software monetization and increase the coherency of our offers, licensing models and methods of programmatic buying. You will drive change within one of the most respected technology companies in Silicon Valley.

Who You Are

You deeply enjoy clearly communicating with others. You have a strong knowledge of the Service Provider space. You come from a management consulting background, and enjoy influencing others.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Business; MBA preferable
  • 6+ years leadership experience in technology environments, preferably software
  • Market analysis, product strategy, product definition, and competitive analysis
  • Polished persuasion and influence skills
  • Willing to travel up to 20%

Desired Skills, Attributes, and Behaviors:

  • Management Consulting experience
  • Hands-on experience working or interacting with Service Providers such as Cablecos, Telcos etc
  • Superior problem structuring, solving, and analysis – ability to develop complex financial models
  • Comfort with ambiguity, especially as part of a groundbreaking effort
  • Cross-organizational collaboration with ability to influence without authority
  • Strong communication skills with ability to deliver concise messages
