Our Wireless Network Architecture and Design's Mobile Core group is looking for a Signaling Expert to join their team as a Principal Member of Technical Staff.



**A Day in the Life...**



The selected candidate will be responsible for:



+ Design, develop, architect, release management, lab and field testing validation of the SS7 signaling for GSM/UMTS and diameter protocols in LTE signaling. testing of the platform, applications and HW configurations for GSM, UMTS, and LTE Systems.

+ Manage projects from initiation to GA declaration, including writing scripts and test specifications, performing signaling load testing, and producing test result documents and certification.

+ Managing vendors, coordinating the activities in the lab and the field and interfacing with the Regional/National Market signaling teams, and end users.

+ Participate in development of new features, to provide post FFA support to end users and operational teams, and follow up on technical requirements with customers and vendors.

As the Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will generally be recognized in the company as a subject matter expert within a specific area. In addition, you should have worked or be capable of working independently on projects of moderate complexity, managing technical issues.



**Education:**



A SMTS candidate shall have a Ph.D. in an approved field from an accredited university, or a Master's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.



**Awesome Points:**



+ Must have an overall understanding of cellular Radio Access, Circuit and packet Core networks in GSM, UMTS, and LTE

+ Extensive experience with UNIX/Linux systems

+ Understanding of SS7 and Diameter protocols and message decoding skills

+ Understanding of IP, TCP, and SCTP protocols.

+ Experience with BASH, Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.

+ Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

+ Working experience with development and testing life cycle management

+ Knowledge of 3GPP OAM standards and LTE network are assets

+ Working experience with Oracle (Tekelec) signaling platforms.
