Job Description

Thunderbolt 3 brings Thunderbolt to USB-C at 40Gbps, fulfilling its promise, creating one compact port that does it all.

Computer ports with Thunderbolt 3 provide 40Gbps Thunderbolt – double the speed of the previous generation, USB 3.1 10Gbps, and DisplayPort 1.4.

For the first time, one computer port connects to Thunderbolt devices, every display, and billions of USB devices. In Thunderbolt mode, a single cable now provides four times the data and twice the video bandwidth of any other cable, while supplying power.

We are looking for a Product Development/Test to join the Product Development team in the CCD group.

You will be part of a winning Elite team that deals with variety of challenges like implementation of very high-speed interface - TBT/PCIe/DP/USB3.1 running at 20/10 Gb/s and working with the most advanced DisplayPort, PCIe and USB standards for the Thunderbolt high speed technology.

Job Responsibilities/What will you do when you come to work?

  • Responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp
  • Make significant contributions to design, development and validation of testability circuits. Evaluation, development and debug of complex test methods
  • Develops and debugs complex software programs to convert design validation vectors and drive complex test equipment. Creates and tests validation and production test hardware solutions
  • Tests, validates, modifies and redesigns circuits to guarantee component margin to specification.
  • Analyzes and evaluates component specification versus performance to ensure optimal match of component requirements with production equipment capability with specific emphasis on yield analysis and bin split capability.
  • Creates and applies concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints. Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications

A degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering Background in ATE testing methodology is highly desired. Knowledge of IO protocols, specs, DFT architectures, and design is highly desired Proficient on Unix and Excel. Data mining and manipulation background SQL and JMP tools background is desired. Strong programming/scripting background (Python, Perl, C++, Verilog) Understanding of statistics and how to statistically present high volume data is required Self-driven and strong team player Makes initiative in working with or helping peers
