<b>What You'll Do</b>

We have an exciting Security Consulting Systems Engineer role open in our Global Security Sales Organization! You will be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial-minded sales professional who has a passion for delivering world-class technology and services that protect our customers from the network to the endpoint to the Cloud. As part of your DNA, you are an aggressive, self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships, develop and execute sales strategies and tactics that maximize Cisco's opportunity within the customer environment, position and promote the partner and customer value proposition for Cisco's Security Architecture, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, and create the demand that makes deals happen

The Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO) - GSSO is taking big steps to position Cisco as the #1 IT Security provider in the industry. In addition to having the right market conditions, capabilities, products and services, we need the right people to take us there.

• Train partner SE’s in the Cisco FireJumper program, helping them get to stage 5 in one of the four competency areas
• Enable our distributors, tier two and focus partners around the major portfolio sets, including firewall, endpoint, cloud and network security solutions
• Help with product demonstrations and managing prospect evaluations with partners
• Technical account management of existing partners and their customers, acting as a point of escalation when necessary
• Provide technical security webinars around key topics such as ransomware, the security kill chain and data exfiltration
• Onsite partner-lead customer meetings, across multiple verticals
• Work with the Partner aligned account team to build the Cisco strategy in our core partners. This includes aligning Cisco vision of security integration and mapping that to the partner vision
• Help with partner-lead PoVs from project initialisation through to building of bills of materials
• Attend and participate in the Cisco Security VT in Amsterdam annually
• Participate and contribute to the Cisco security SE lab days and teams. On occasion providing valuable updates from the partner environment
• Work with the Partner EMEAR team to ensure key metrics are achieved around growth, learning and training for partners
• Speaking events with partners, on security products and topics.
• Put together and work with the partners and CxC teams to make security integral to partner and customer executive briefing sessions
• Work with the CxC teams to make sure that they have support with the Cisco security portfolio and ensure they have the relevant training
• Enable the CSS (sales) community on key security product updates
• Provide updates to the general Cisco SE teams, ensuring they have an interactive experience to encourage more conversations around security with their customers

<b>Who You'll Work With</b>                                                 

In this role as Security Consulting Systems Engineer, you will work with our Security Partner Account Managers, Cisco’s partner organisation and directly with our partners in the territory to enable and help drive their business development. In this position you will be working with technology experts to help them position Cisco's security solutions effectively against competing offerings. 

<b>Who You Are</b>   

• Minimum 7+ years of technical sales or pre-sales experience with 5+ years in Security specialization experience with IDS/IPS, AV, Firewall, Advanced Malware Protection technologies
• BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent highly preferred
• Pre-sales experience required
• Successful quota achievement
• Experience of working with channel partners
• Proven track record or managing and winning technical and high value IT security projects
• Experience of administering Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet-level) IP networking and have a thorough understanding of network security
• Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
• Commercial awareness and communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter that does not need day-to-day management
• Desirable experience including press experience, delivering training courses, prior experience with Cisco/Sourcefire security technologies, experience with programming languages such as UNIX shell, Perl or C • CCIE Security, CISSP highly preferred
