What You'll Do

The Network Security Consulting Engineer is part of the Innovation Delivery Team (IDT), and is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in security working closely with one of our top clients. You will be responsible for solving and troubleshooting critical issues related to security technologies such as: Cisco Security Manager, FirePower (Sourcefire) and ASAs. The Network Consulting Engineer - Security also delivers root cause analysis reports, attends and participates in major network changes, as well as delivers formal presentations to senior (C-level) executives.

You'll also be maintaining software tools to enhance Cisco consulting services, contribute directly to Cisco's knowledge management initiatives by documenting and briefing other Cisco security consultants on lessons learned from engagements and by developing new methodologies for delivering services.

Who You'll Work With

The IDT works with our most important customers as senior consultants helping to design, implement, troubleshoot and solve extremely critical issues. You have a unique opportunity to join this team as a subject matter expert in Security Technologies.

Who You Are

Above all, you're an expert in network security design, architecture and implementation with strong communication skills in both Spanish and English with experience working and excelling in Service Provider environments.

You have a thorough knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols and a detailed understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP), as well as layer 2 protocols and related technologies.

Our minimum requirements for this role:
* 8+ years of experience in which 4-6 years have been in systems/network security administration.
* Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers.
* BS in a technical field.
* Advanced English - spoken and written

Our desired skills for this role:
* Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting one (or more of the following Cisco security technologies: IPS/FirePower (SourceFire), ASA, CSM, VPN.
* Experience working in Service Provider Environments,
* CCIE Security Certification.
