Laser Simulation Intern

Job Description

We are looking for an Intern to be responsible for simulating semiconductor lasers. In this role you will own the simulation of InP based lasers to be integrated with other silicon photonic components.

Successful candidate will need to have excellent communication and collaborative skills.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

Full time student pursuing a Ph.D. level degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or related fields are invited to apply for this internship.

Must have 1 year experience in:

  • Semiconductor physics as related to optoelectronic devices
  • Design and simulation of IIIV semiconductor lasers or amplifiers
  • Matlab programming

Following experience will be considered a plus:

  • Experience in using commercial semiconductor device modelling software
  • Ability to analyze data using statistical methods
  • Experience in the testing of semiconductor lasers or amplifiers
