Our Engineering Technical Marketing Team is looking for a Junior Technical Marketing Engineer at Cisco Photonics office based in Vimercate.

 

Job Summary:

You will work in a close-knit team together alongside professionals from Product Management, Sales and Engineering teams and delivering Demonstration, Proof-of-Concept, and Technical Support for Cisco Optical Products and Solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work and directly promote strategic initiatives, gaining exposure to technical marketing organization and getting hands-on experience with customers throughout the world.  

Main tasks will include: 
  • Full responsibility and management of a Proof of Concept Lab.
  • Testing various software and hardware products.
  • Handling Product Demonstrations.
  • Pre-sale and post-sale activities for potential or existing customers.  
Technologies covered by the team include DWDM, TDM, OTN, IP, IP+Optical, GMPLS, SAN and Carrier Ethernet, Cisco UCS, SW scripting  

Required Skills:

  • The qualified candidate should have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering, preferably in one of the following specializations: telecommunications, information technology, electronics, and physics.
  • Fluent in Italian and English languages.
  • Be a self-starter and possess strong sense of self-motivation and teamwork attitude.
  • Available for business travel.

 

Desired Skills:

Direct experience in one or more areas below is desirable: 

  • Assertive, positive “can-do” attitude – loves solving problems.
  • Networking and optical hardware configuration and operation familiarity.
  • Ability to learn and use software including Windows, Linux, Python or other scripting languages.
  • Lab management and administration.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and multi-cultural environment.
