Job Overview:
Cisco IT offers a variety of roles, with several entry-level positions where Interns can make an immediate difference. We are looking for individuals with a passion for technology and solid academic foundations in analytical disciplines. You will work alongside experienced professionals, where you will be responsible for setting day-to-day goals, providing work direction and supporting web-based collaboration tools used by all Cisco employees.

Day to day that means: 
  • Use creative problem-solving skills to provide Cisco with advanced, essential business capabilities.
  • Analysing data to identify opportunities for service improvement
  • Reviewing common procedures to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Helping Cisco IT scale customer presence
  • Developing processes for tracking approved exceptions to IT standards and service level agreements (SLA’s)
  • Documenting and presenting findings from research
  • Developing and analysing operational metrics to support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) 
  • Leveraging case studies of existing data to improve management of IT services

About you: 
  • Penultimate year of studies towards Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Computer Science, Business IT, Maths, or similar disciplines preferred)
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • You are capable of data gathering, processing and presentation
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills with ability to demonstrate
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Passionate about technology and open to learning new things and develop. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and possessing self-belief
  • Dynamic and self-motivating with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good understanding of social media, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Video Collaboration Tools
  • An understanding of the principles of a successful project methodology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as receptive listening skills
  • Legally eligible to live and work in the UK (student visa does not apply)
