Job Description
The Application Software Lab at Intel Munich is a center of innovation in software for IoT, Mobile, Client, and Datacenter computing. In this role you will contribute to the success of the projects that expand the IoT ecosystem, their ease of use and adoption. You will be part of a team developing and deploying cloud applications optimised for IoT use cases. You will be participating in the analysis, configuration, and tuning of these components for maximum performance.With sufficient skills, experience, and aspiration you will be able to participate in new software development projects too. You will work alongside highly experienced engineers to develop your skills and knowledge but also contribute to our applications/code base that is deployed at major Cloud Service Providers.For a candidate studying towards a degree in computer science, information technology, or electronics engineering this position offers a great opportunity to work with world's leading experts, software vendors, and Information technology IT organizations. You will develop leading-edge technical, project management and customer relationship skills, in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.


Must have skills:
- Good knowledge of at least one common programming language such as C++, Java, Python and/or JavaScript
- Knowledge of web application design, development and deployment
- Linux skills such as shell scripting, installing packages, configuring networking and filesystems
- Good verbal and written English

Nice to have skills:
- Familiarity with testing and performance measurement on servers or embedded platforms
- Experience with containers Docker, NodeJS, NPM, web servers, databases, queues Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT, secure programming principles, HTTP, SQL, Redis, Memcached and other web technologies
- Experience with computer networks, network protocols such as TCP/IP, and wireless communication such as WiFi and/or LTE- Knowledge in computer architectures, OS fundamentals, and software optimization techniques
- Working experience with software revision systems like git or subversion
- Familiarity with MEAN, LAMP stack or similar frameworks
- Experience with Hadoop or other Big Data platforms
- German or French language

This role requires good verbal and written communication skills in English. A candidate who's highly motivated to learn, shows initiative, takes responsibility, and enjoys working in an international environment will best fit the team.
