Hardware Engineer - Aerial Communications PoC

Job Description

A motivated hardware engineer is sought after for a new project on drone communications within the Wireless Communications Research Organization in Intel Labs. The project focuses on improving the communication and control of drones a.k.a UAVs - unmanned aerial vehicles via innovation on the communication links e.g. 4G/5G/WiFi. The person will be responsible for the hardware development and prototyping, including but not limited to hardware setup, antenna and MIMO, and integration with drone platform. He/she will also closely interact within a small team regarding system design, trace analysis, data acquisition and field tests.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree with 3+ years' experience or advanced degree with 2+ years' experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering with Communications/Computer Science background with relevant industry experience
  • RF and antenna implementation, integration and measurements, for prototyping and/or compliance 1+ years 
  • Experience with software/hardware tools in developing and debugging for wireless PoC 3+ years
  • Experience with wireless technologies such as beamforming, MIMO, phase arrays 1+ years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with software defined radio SDR
