What You'll Do

Insieme is developing the Nexus 9000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility.

  • Support development prototype testing and sustaining engineering on any of the router / switch products.
  • Board & system bring up, solving problems to component level, and problem analysis.
  • Alpha & Beta hardware distribution and tracking; generating inventory reports.
  • Updating systems with new hardware and firmware.
  • Determining test equipment and procedures are to be used.
  • Setting priorities and directing the activities of lab rework personnel and technicians.

This role you will work on a state of the art data center switching/routing product. We are looking for you who strive in a dynamic start like environment. You are part of a team with varied strengths responsible for delivering quality code hardware for large complex systems requirements.

Who You Are

  • Strong in basic electronics, to understand board schematics, .brd file using allegro viewer.
  • You will be part of a HW product development cycle & have exposure to the tools and applications to store the reports, plans & to track bugs.
  • Well versed in tabulation of test results & communicating issues that arise, as well as testing & validation completion.
  • Experience in high speed board testing & qualification activities like DVT
  • Experience working in Linux / Unix environment, Window OS & Familiarity with Spreadsheet, Word Processor, Database, excel & ppt, Email & Web Browser software is a requirement.
  • Experience in assembling, installation, and configuration of network switch systems.
  • Experience testing, troubleshooting, and repairing boards and systems using test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, & Signal Generators, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Networking.
  • Ability to configure and set up complex router and traffic equipment on a wide variety of interfaces. Ethernet, Serial, exposure to traffic generators (IXIA/ Spirent), and L2/L3 testing (BGP/MPLS/VRF protocols)
  • Able to participate as a team member.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal & organizational skills, ability to adapt to changing priorities and dedication are keys to success.
  • Workloads are heavy, and there is considerable responsibility.
  • Excellent writing & speaking skills.
  • Knowledge & experience in scripting (Python, Pearl, TCL, Expect)
