Description GSSI infrastructure is a datacenter-type construct used by AT&T and IBM for direct access to multiple customer's network environments and for providing hosting services, internet access services etc. Due to the nature of the multi-customer setup in place security restrictions and policies are the paramount parameter of the service ATT is responsible for. To deliver the top quality service we rely on the leading edge solutions produced by the key players in the networking business - Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, etc. The solution is always focusing on high-availability, security and scalability. Network support personnel are required to be able to comprehend and understand the complex security and design concepts of the GSSI infrastructure to be able to deliver effective support.



**Roles and Responsibilities:**

Performing network support. Operating, and maintaining network components in a complex multi-vendor environment.

Analyzing network problems, Performing configuration changes on network devices and network applications.

Test and implement corrective actions (including emergency changes) to network faults.

Test and apply firmware/OS patches. Backout changes and participate in change reviews as needed.

Assess, evaluate and document bandwidth requirements, performance implications and risks. Design network analysis and reporting package. Execute performance analysis to gauge the health of the network and to identify appropriate actions.

Network specialists are expected to support customers in different time zones, which include migrations and changes in the evenings and at weekends. - in house training (video and peer to peer training)

Tier 3 Support, SA incident management, break/fix problem determination and resolution; coordination of tech dispatch for onsite repairs; perform proper handoff & validation of readiness from Service Delivery team for project transition to steady state.

The GSSI-SI Team has been missioned with providing the GSSI organization with Infrastructure inventory, Proactive security activities and Security Policy enforcement. Changes may include:

Device compliance checks (health-checks), to validate a device is compliant to a given security policy, and applying changes to remediate.

Security - Password maintenance Changes include - periodic password change to comply with security policy and the maintenance of password in databases.

Security checking - Compliance management Analyzing security risks/vulnerabilities applicability and impact (APARs /GSNI traffic flows validation/ MAD scans) Remediation (either perform or engage another team to perform).



**Key Competencies and Skills:**

Fluent in English, both written and verbal

Additional foreign language is advandate

Advantage to have knowledge IP-services (DNS, DHCP)

Knowledge of firewall, Switch and Router Configuration

Knowledge of problem and change management process is advantage

Customer and service orientation, ability to operate well in an international environment, multicultural environment

Reliability, responsiveness and flexibility, communication skills, high motivation, teamwork skills

Good temperament & self-control. Must be able to handle high pressure situations in a professional and composed manner



**Education and Qualifications:**

Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience
