GSM Director – Sourcing & Supplier Management for Electro-mechanical & Thermo


Who You'll Work With


The Global Supplier Management (GSM) Organization is an industry leader in sourcing and supplier management that enable sustained innovation and supply chain excellence. This requires having a close relationship with our component suppliers and strong collaboration to consistently drive innovation, productivity and efficiency.


This position leads the Electo-Mechanical and Thermo Commodity team, covering both sourcing and supplier management activities. This team is accountable for deliverying a commodity strategy that enable innovation and operational excellence. The team consist of 10+ supply chain professional that are located in US, China, India and Europe.  The position reports to the Sr Dir for Integrated Hardware Commodity, in GSM.




What You'll Do


·       Accountable for developing and driving the Sourcing and Supplier Management strategy for the Electro-Mechanical & Thermo commodity
·       Accountable a Supplier base of over 100+ supplier with a global spend of $900M+
·       Lead all sourcing decision for the related commodities
  • Partners with various cross-functional organizations including Engineering and Supply Chain Operation to drive business success
  • Builds strong organization with leadership bench strength, capabilities for the future, engagement and Cisco culture
  • Drives Supply Chain innovation through process and tool reengineering and implementation
  • A key leader in the development of the Supply Chain Operations APJC platform as a member of the APJC Orion team

Who You Are


·       Typically requires BA/BS in Business, Engineering and ect; MBA preferred.
·       10s+ years of cross functional Supply Chain experience.
·       Excellent skills in supplier management and negotiations.
·       Experienced on product sourcing and in working with the Engineering organization
·       Ability to develop and execute short, mid, and long term strategies
·       Strong influencing, collaboration, communication, and change management skills. 
·       Ability to build, connect, and nurture world-class teams
·       Proven track record of building organizational and process capabilities
·       Preferred technical  knowledge of the Electro-mechanical space
