Why Cisco:

Cisco plays a crucial role in driving next generation software innovations including cloud, mobile, hardware, embedded, desktop and security spaces. Cisco's Cloud Collaboration Technology Group is redefining the future of cloud-based collaboration. We are creating a world where people come together effortlessly and enjoyably, on their own terms and with no limitations on device, location, time or distance.

Our group builds cutting-edge media technologies, deployed daily to numerous datacentres around the world. As a modern, dev-ops focused group, we are responsible for designing, building and running the services that provide the best-in-class audio and video experience that Cisco customers of products like WebEx and Spark enjoy and expect. We combine a deep well of experience with the latest technologies to be able to develop and deploy new code quickly and with confidence in its reliability, with new code enhancing our customers’ experience just days after it was written.

Our team is focused on everything to do with audio and video, including handling media packet streams, decoding and encoding media using a range of audio and video compression standards, multi-channel audio and video composition, and interprocessor communications in  both virtualized and “bare metal” environments on a variety of multi-core, multi-processor platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be required to meet tight deadlines, whilst effectively managing priorities and communicating progress. You will be responsible for delivery, performance, continuous improvement and agile software development tasks.
