A Government liaison is needed to develop mission solutions for our customers.  This individual will have an in-depth understanding of the mission environment, and be able to engage technically.  While the primary function is that of a liaison, there is a technical component to the position.



What You'll Do
This is an hands-on role, with most of your time spent with the customer.  Your leadership will be used to define and implement new networks/communications capabilities which provide enhanced mission capabilities for our customers. In this position, you will work closely with the customer to under understand their needs and translate those into system requirements.  Once programs are underway, you will help with internal coordination on the customer side, as well as on the Cisco side.  You will perform any duties similar to a Program Manager.  An in-depth understanding of the mission environment is required.  The ability to identify potential flaws and correct them prior to deployment is a must.  You will need to be able to work interdependently and effectively in cross functional teams.  You will coordinate closely with Cisco experts.  You will continuously acquire and share technical, industry, and Cisco architectural perspectives and knowledge with the customer community, partner community and within Cisco.  Write proposals and respond to RFPs.  Advise Cisco senior Management on opportunities and strategy.

Who You Are
You currently hold an active US Government security clearance, with Polygraph (this is required at the time of hire).  You must be a US citizen located in the greater Raleigh, NC area.  Any candidates not meeting the above criteria, will not be considered for this position.  You have a background in the community, and will likely have spent most of your career in that environment. You are high energy, with a "can-do", highly collaborative style.  You will have an open communication style and a willingness and ability to work with teams and are able to leverage knowledge to help solve technically challenging problems presented by customers. You use a high degree of logical reasoning ability and are intellectually curious with an intuitive feel for applying numbers, sense of proportion and appropriate orders of magnitude. Our minimum requirements for this role:
● Active DoD security clearance

● US citizen

● A bachelor of science degree in a technical field
● Experienced track record working within the community
● Minimum 15-20 years of experience
● Distinctive career history problem solving and issue resolution

● Have an understanding of the FARs and acquisition cycle used by the Federal Government
● Be creative with a practical approach

● A high degree of logical reasoning ability, and curiosity

● Team leadership and the ability to listen and be perceptive of others

● Must be based in the greater RTP (Research Triangle Park, NC) area
● Must be a US Citizen

● Must be able to obtain and hold a security clearance
