What You'll Do

We are seeking a Global Category and Supplier Manager within our Global Procurement Services Organization.

We are global business partners committed to providing our clients and suppliers value-based procurement outcomes. We do this through analytics-based decision support, digital innovation, supplier diversity, and risk management. We serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production, indirect suppliers/goods and services globally.

In this exciting role:

  • You will provide leadership in building, maintaining, and leading the interaction between Cisco and key suppliers.
  • You will facilitate at a strategic level the working relationships with Cisco business units, Cisco Sales Teams / Alliance / Channel Organizations, and suppliers.
  • You will establish and maintain complex-working relationships that leverage Cisco's position in obtaining optimum pricing & terms and that improve return on investment and highlight TCO.
  • You will work closely with teams to develop and employ strategic sourcing strategies to ensure an alignment between Cisco business needs and emerging supplier capabilities.
  • You will supervise the negotiation of pricing, contractual terms and conditions, deliverables and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
  • You will lead the creation and planning of RFx offerings. Establishes benchmarks, best practices, policies, and procedures used to lead the ongoing interaction between Cisco, its Labor suppliers, and key Cisco partners. Interacts with corporate officers at Cisco and third parties.
  • You will handle complex partnership relationships within a robust governance structure. Develop and execute governance models to maintain relationships with strategic suppliers that drive innovation, value and competitive advantage.
  • You will develop category strategy and annual plan in support of new engagements and renewals. In addition to conducting market research and benchmarking.
  • You will deliver year-over-year cost reduction and ensure high spend compliance through preferred suppliers.
  • You will oversee multiple projects annually including the completion of sourcing events, consumption reduction activities, and supplier rationalization events.

Who You'll Work With

You will work with the Engineering, Learning and Training Category Team supporting indirect procurement for Engineering Contingent Services and Training Services. You will be responsible for Business Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management, Commercial and Legal negotiation to deliver competitive advantages to Cisco business functions and you will lead key strategic projects spanning a global reach.

Who You Are

You are a high energy strategic thinker with a digital mindset combined with strong analytical and business insight. You have demonstrated leadership through influence and collaboration and are a strong communicator across Cultural Boundaries. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have documented results of year-on-year value creation to business clients including cost savings. You have strong MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, prefer Engineering or equivalent degree. MBA is highly desirable
  • 8-10+ years prior work in sourcing, category management, and supplier development/management in a Global environment
  • Understanding of the Hardware / Software and Networking industry strongly preferred
